Return
Policy
No returns will be made without the original
receipt and all original packaging, drivers, documents,
etc. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Refunds
up to 10 days depending on original payment type. Cash refund
for payment by check will only be made upon verification
of check deposit; otherwise a check will be mailed ASAP.
Cash refunds greater than $100 is subject to availability.
If unavailable a check will be written ASAP. Only Store
Credit will be given within 10 to 30 calendar days of original
purchase. No refunds on CPU’s. Retail Boxed CPU’s
are non-returnable once opened. Special Orders cannot be
returned, sales are final. Opened printer cartridges cannot
be returned.
NO RETURNS ON COMPUTER SYSTEMS, OPENED PRINTERS
& OPENED SOFTWARE. NO RETURNS WILL BE MADE AFTER 30
DAYS.
Warranty Policy
Original receipt is required for all warranty
issues. All OEM & Retail CPU’s are a 15 day warranty
thru SWS. All Retail Boxed CPU’s have a 3year Warranty
thru Intel or AMD. Memory is Lifetime Warranty from SWS
(all stickers must be intact and on the memory). 1-Year
Warranty on all other parts and Original Labor (most new
parts are 1-3 years from manufacturer). Extended Warranties
run $75 per extra year. Special Order Policy
In the circumstance that SWS places a Special
Order (any non-stock item), SWS requires 100% pre-payment
in full. If merchandise is not picked up within 90 days
of customer notification, the customer forfeits all rights
to the product and payment. No Returns on non-stock items.
Surplus Policy
All surplus items are sold as-is and there
are no guarantees, warranties, exchanges or returns on these
items. All sales are final.
Parts Test Policy
SWS reserves the right to test any item before
replacing it. Any item that tests good will be subject to
a $20 bench fee. Any item that tests bad will be replaced
at no charge. No exceptions will be made to this policy.
Be advised that part testing is not necessarily done while
you wait and that the test may be placed in our normal Technical
Service queue.
Service Policy
Normal parts installations are charged at
standard labor rates ($30 per 1/2 hour) and are completed
on a first-come, first-served basis. Normally upgrades and
repairs take 24 to 48 business hours to complete. Estimates
can be given for upgrades and repairs, but without diagnosing
a machine, SWS cannot determine an exact cost for services.
Should you wish labor to stop beyond a certain charge, please
remark this on your work order as you check your machine
in for service. Non-clone systems (Compaq, Packard Bell,
HP, IBM, some Dell, Gateway, etc.) that are not built under
‘open architecture’ standards may have proprietary
hardware or software that can lead to unforeseen delays
or charges- SWS will call you immediately upon discovery
of such circumstances. Should you want your data backed
up before SWS begins servicing your machine, there is a
$30 labor fee plus any applicable media charges. Please
be aware that SWS is not responsible for any lost or damaged
data that is not backed up. All technical work will be completed
on a first-come, first-served basis.
Onsite service is by appointment only and
is billed a minimum of 1 hour for $75 per hour. Rush Service
is available at double the 1/2 hour rate. Onsite service
labor warranty is 90 days.
We hope that you will take advantage of our
fast, friendly installation services that include a 1-Year
Warranty on original labor. All labor and part installations
will be billed at ½ hour increments at a rate of
$30.00 per ½ hour with a minimum charge of $30.00.
Compatibility Policy
SWS will not guarantee the compatibility of
any components unless installed by a SWS technician.
Pickup Policy
Any Special Order parts and payment will be forfeited 90
days past customer notification. Any items put in Will-Call
will be restocked after 24 hours unless prior exception
has been made. Any item checked in for Technical Service
that remains unclaimed 90 days past customer notification
becomes the property of SWS unless prior exception has been
made.
